Margo Gebraski—while new to California—isn’t new to yoga, as she’s been both an instructor and student for over 20 years. After completing her first 200-hour certification and exploring a multitude of yoga styles, she settled into studying under one teacher in 2006—Rama Berch, now known as “Swami Nirmalananda,” who is the originator of Svaroopa® yoga, founder and spiritual director of the Vidya Ashram in Downingtown, PA. From 2014 to 2017, Margo was a teacher trainer in Svaroopa Yoga. Margo’s spiritual practices are supported by the teachings of Sri Sri Swami (Baba) Shuddhaanandaa Brahmachari.
As a yoga and meditation teacher, teacher trainer, yoga therapist, and Embodyment® and Vichara practitioner, Margo brings a rare breadth and depth of knowledge and insight to her teachings. Her style is therapeutic, with an emphasis on core opening. With simple yet profound poses (that are supported with extra large blankets), she facilitates internal spine releases. Margo pays close attention to each student, making specific adjustments as needed to individualize each pose, while facilitating a deeper opening. These unique poses allow each student to release muscular tension, together with an elevation in mind, body and spirit—so they can optimize their physical health and enjoy a deeper awareness of their true Self.
Margo enjoys interweaving yoga philosophy into her classes in a light and interesting way. As knowledgeable as she is compassionate, Margo is proficient at working with all body types, personalities and conditions.
