As the cooler and wetter fall and winter seasons approaches we all look forward to the holidays but we all have to be cautious about the upcoming cold and flu season.
Ayurveda believes that all disease happens when the elements that make up our individual constitutions become out of balance. Colds and flu strikes when the body’s digestive fires (Agni) are weakened and our immunity drops. At this point toxins (Ama) accumulates, clogging the channels of the body, which in turn brings the onset of illness.
During this workshop we will discuss the basis of Western and Ayurvedic beliefs about how to treat and strengthen our immunities and I will share with you my favorite Ayurvedic remedies and practices that I use personally. We will also practice an immune building yoga and pranayama sequence that will insure good health.
This workshop is suitable for all levels of practitioner and student.
