Deanne Schultz, an award-winning, multilingual journalist for more than 15 years, has now diversified her skill set through expansion into the fitness industry. She received her 200-hour training in the Yoga & Healing Sciences at Loyola Marymount University, is currently enrolled in the Yoga Rx Program at Loyola Marymount University, is certified in Prime of Life Yoga®, and is a National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) Certified Personal Trainer. She is also a member of IAYT (International Association of Yoga Therapists).
As a breast cancer survivor, Deanna credits restorative yoga, pranayama, and meditation, in addition to specialized resistance training, as vital to her recovery process. “My own journey of recovery using yoga therapy and specialized breathing techniques was such a freeing and empowering experience that I want to empower and help others as my yoga therapists did for me.”
