LYW: What initially brought you to a yoga practice? How long have you been practicing?

JULIE: A friend and bad hips in 2012.

LYW: What brought you to LYW?  And what keeps you here? How often do you practice?

JULIE: A friend, and bad hips brought me to the studio. Suzi was my first teacher and she kept me going these past 6 years. She was very attentive to my individual needs and helped me keep limber despite my arthritis. I practice once a week.

LYW: Are there any observations/comments/antidote’s from a class or workshop you attended you care to share?

JULIE: I think listening to your body is key; learn what your body can and can not do. Modify poses to accommodate your capabilities. I think all the teachers will tell you that and it is very true.

LYW: Please share with us the benefits you receive from your yoga practice.

JULIE: There are many benefits to being a part of this community. I enjoy the people who attend and the teachers, everyone is very caring & kind. Yoga not only helps my body stay relatively flexible, but it also provides my mind & spirit a peaceful place to go.
