Pranayama also helps to balance the 5 elements in the body, there by balancing the three doshas of the body. Practice of Pranayama also balances the Panch Pranas (Five main vayus) and Panch Up Pranas (Five sub vayus). The great Krishnamacharya stated that Pranayama is a great healing tool and becomes even more important in the 2nd half of life. Pranayama is a great yoga therapy technique that can be practiced by people of all ages, healthy as well as ill.
Attendees should come with an empty stomach and bring a mat and a blanket.
 Surendra Mehta MBA, C-IAYT, RYT-200, is a certified yoga therapist, and graduate of the Loyola Marymount University (LMU), Los Angeles, Yoga Therapy and Teachers Training programs. In addition he studied at the Indian Yoga Institute in India, and with teachers including Dr. Nagendra. Surendra studied Yoga Nidra at Bihar School of Yoga, and is a direct disciple of Yog Swami Ram Dev, known for his Pranayama teachings. Currently he is studying Prime of Life Yoga® with internationally known yoga teacher Dr. Larry Payne PhD.

Surendra has been practicing Yoga since 1994 and teaching since 2001. He conducts Pranayama and Yoga Nidra workshops for individuals, small groups and corporations. He teaches at Yoga Therapy and Teacher Training programs at LMU and other schools.
